The US Dollar (USD) is projected to trade within a range of 7.2540 to 7.2700 against the Chinese Yuan (CNH). In the longer term, there is potential for the USD to increase to 7.2820, according to analysis from UOB Group’s FX analysts.

The USD experienced minimal movement, closing at 7.2664 after trading between 7.2610 and 7.2715. Expectations for today indicate a continuation of trading within the 7.2540 to 7.2700 range.

    Potential For Further Gains

A retreat below 7.2450 may reduce the current upward momentum. Meanwhile, despite a slow down in recent advances, there remains sufficient momentum for a further rise in the USD.

The range-bound movement of the US Dollar against the Chinese Yuan suggests a period of relative stability, but not without the possibility of an upswing. While the immediate expectation remains within the defined boundaries, the potential to inch higher towards 7.2820 is something that cannot be overlooked.

Yesterday’s session saw minor fluctuations, with prices staying between 7.2610 and 7.2715 before closing on the higher side. This hints at an underlying bias towards strength, even if immediate gains appear limited. That said, staying above 7.2540 will be necessary for any sustained upside momentum.

    Monitoring Key Support Levels

A slip beneath 7.2450 could weaken the current upward trajectory, signalling a broader loss of momentum. However, recent advances have not been fully exhausted, meaning upward pressure has not completely dissipated. What this suggests is that traders should remain aware of further movement towards the projected 7.2820 level while being mindful of any signs of exhaustion in the trend.

For those navigating these short-term movements, the presence of steady momentum allows for a cautiously optimistic approach. However, closely tracking any signs of price rejection at the upper boundary will be just as important as watching for support levels holding firm. If downward pressure intensifies beyond expectations, reassessing positioning could be necessary.
